Author's Notes
The idea for this murder mystery came from my trip to Russia. While there, I had the opportunity to visit the museums in St. Petersburg and the Kremlin in Moscow. I was fascinated by the lovely jewels of the Czarinas and the Czars.
While in Russia, I befriended a lovely lady, Marina, who was a physician in St. Petersburg. Her father worked for the GRU and was killed in the 1980’s. She was a most wonderful companion during the few days we were together.
After a captivating trip to Alaska, North of the Pier unfolded.
